WE STEM is a community of an internal pool of women experts working towards supporting groupwide tech competitions, mentorships, and development programs. The vision is not only to highlight our women in STEM but to encourage future employees with STEM backgrounds to join us knowing that they have a career path set out in line with their career aspirations.
The WE STEM team started their journey in 2023 by hosting 2 training sessions for Zain employees on Data Visualization and Machine Learning. In addition, Zain celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science which takes place annually on Feb 11th by organizing a Data Science competition.
WE STEM aims to create an environment that promotes continuous learning, skill development, and gender diversity within the organization. The program seeks to cultivate a supportive community for women in STEM and inspire the next generation of employees to pursue careers in these fields.
