The Glass Ceiling Project

The Glass Ceiling Project is a gathering of women who seek to explore ways to support each other as their make their way up the corporate ladder. The project includes discussions with female role models in different fields, the opportunity to network and access to mentoring.

The program involves a series of open discussions with leading female role models, as well as networking evenings and exposure to topics through which women can raise their own awareness about the biases in the community around and how to handle them.

The sessions are organized by ‘Kuwaiti Women Leaders: Building Bridges’ in coordination with Kuwait MBA Club. KIPCO is an active contributor to the sessions, and also provides financial support and hosts the events. Attendance is by invitation only.

Three sessions were held:

  • Beyond the Glass Ceiling in the Public Sector: This featured Chairperson of the Founding Board of Abdullah Al Salem University, Dr. Moudhi Al Humoud; Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, Ms. Mariam Al Aqeel; and Director General of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, Dr. Reem Al Fulaij

  • Beyond the Glass Ceiling in the Private Sector: This featured MD of Al Mulla Engineering, Ms. Anfal Al Mulla; CEO of Taiba Hospital, Ms. Lama Al Fadala; and Chief HR Officer at Zain Group, Ms. Nawal Bourisli

  • Creating a Balanced Legislative Environment: This featured MP Dr Jenan Boushehri and MP Alia Al Khaled
