KFH was the first Islamic bank to sign Women’s Empowerment Principles agreement with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in contributing to the achievement of sustainable development. In addition to adapting the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as a set of principles offering guidance to businesses on how to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community. This partnership has become the one of the main resources that contributed to increasing the representation ratio of women in KFH leadership by 11%.
